Autosuggestion Technique
By now I am sure you have realized there is no one correct way for everyone to Lucid Dream. In fact, if you wanted to, you could come up with your own technique. This chapter we will look at the autosuggestion technique.
This technique works best on those that can easily be hypnotized. If you are not susceptible to being hypnotized, you may find the MILD Technique works better for you.
During the day while awake and just as you are settling in to sleep, for the night, repeat a suggestion to yourself that you will recognize that you are dreaming. Of course you should write it in such a way that you are talking to yourself, as in "I will know when I am dreaming". You might also want to add that you know you will have a lucid dream that night and in the very near future to your suggestion.
Your goal is to actually expect a lucid dream to happen. Convince yourself that you know it is going to happen, expect it, look for it, get excited about it, be prepared for it and it will come.
